OTD – Zsa Zsa Gabor Passes Away at Age 99
Today, December 18, 2017, marks the one year anniversary of the death of Zsa Zsa Gabor. I apologize that this post is not more in depth. I would love to have something profound to say about her life, but how do you remark on a life that seems possible only in fiction? I say we all take a moment to appreciate the life she lived and use it as motivation to live each day of our own lives as fully as possible.
May those that knew her and were close to her be comforted on this day.
OTD – Zsa Zsa Gabor Appears on Larry King Live
On November 26, 1991, Zsa Zsa Gabor appeared on Larry King Live to promote her new book, One Lifetime is Not Enough. She is wearing a beautiful black gown and gorgeous earrings. Zsa Zsa is questioned about her lovers, about Eva, and about the Beverly Hills slapping incident. Callers alternate between fans and those who think she is full of herself. Zsa Zsa is Zsa Zsa throughout: quick with the replies, deflecting as necessary, and calling out “bitches” when she deems it necessary.
Take a trip back in time to watch this interview on the YouTube.
You can find One Lifetime is Not Enough on Amazon and Ebay.
Happy Thanksgiving – US Holiday
I wish to express my appreciation to those of you finding your way to this blog.
There are many reasons to be thankful this year, among them discovering my fascination with the Gabor family. I am enjoying my journey researching articles, interviews, books, and films about the Gabors. These women were so much more than the images projected to the public.
Jolie Gabor: Both a product of and a woman ahead of her time. She built successful business in two countries in a time when women stayed at home.
Magda Gabor: The least known of the sisters, she was a true hero. Her actions saved lives in World War II.
Zsa Zsa Gabor: Confident, out-spoken, fiery. There are so many stories about her bad behavior and many marriages. Yet, there are blogs and comments scattered about the web describing her friendliness and generosity.
Eva: My favorite Gabor. Very driven and underrated as an actress. I love the sense of self she presented in interviews during her latter years.
I hope those of you celebrating Thanksgiving have a wonderful day (I hope the rest of you also have a great day). Let me know who is your favorite Gabor and why. I’d love to discuss.

Halloween Costume Idea – Minerva From Batman
Halloween is fast approaching. Here’s an easy costume idea for all you procrastinators: Minerva from Batman. Zsa Zsa Gabor played Minerva in what would be the last episode of the Batman series.
The costume is simple. One silver rain coat, one pair of silver gloves, one pair of silver boots, and a lovely pair of diamond (or rhinestone) dangling earrings. The final piece? Two sexy male friends in white pants and a white tee, labeled “Adonis” and “Atlas.” Simply walk around with the eye candy and enjoy your evening.
