Vilmos Gabor, the father of the Gabor sisters, was born on September 19, 1881, in Budapest, Hungary. Vilmos immigrated to the United States witj Jolie and Magda, but returned to Budapest to live the rest his life.
The photo below was taken during a family reunion in Austria. The young child is Francesca, Zsa Zsa’s daughter.
On September 17, 1946, Zsa Zsa Gabor was granted a divorce for Conrad Hilton. As part of the settlement, she would receive $35,000 and $2,500 monthly until she remarried. The couple had one child, Francesca.
On this date in 1966, Eddie Albert and Eva Gabor appeared as guests on The Merv Griffin Show. This would be during the beginning of the second season of Green Acres.
On September 7, 1958, the cult classic, The Queen of Outer Space, premieres. The film stars Zsa Za Gabor, Eric Fleming, Dave Willock, Laurie Mitchell, and Lisa Davis. It was directed by Edward Bernds and written by Charles Beaumont.
The story is about a couple of astronauts who find themselves stuck on Venus. They uncover a plot to destroy the Earth.

On September 3, 1953, Eva appeared on NBC’s Masterpiece Playhouse in Uncle Vanya. The production also starred Walter Abel, Tod Andrews, Leora Dana, Isobel Elsom, Eda Heinemann, and Boris Karloff. It was directed by Gordon Duff.
Eva makes a guest appearance on The Liberace Show, which was filmed in London. In this clip, the two sing “There Must Be Something Better Than Love.”
On this date, August 27, 1976, Zsa Zsa Gabor marries attorney Michael O’Hara just three days after divorcing Jack Ryan. The couple were married in the bridal suite of the Las Vegas Hilton.
On August 19, 1959, It Started With A Kiss” made its New York premiere. The film stars Glenn Ford, Debbie Reynolds, and Eva Gabor.
On August 17, 1981, Zsazsa Gabor appeared on Network Ten’s Eyewitness News. In this interview she discusses her many marriages, “living in sin,” and having children out of wedlock.
Love Island is a 1952 film starring Eva Gabor and Paul Valentine. The story is about a pilot, stranded on a island in the South Pacific, who falls in love with one of the local natives (played by a dark-haired Eva).
